Hongkong-raised/Malaysia-based BadBoyBen is a DJ/Producer who has rapidly risen in prominence in the Asian dance scene in a ridiculously short period of time.

Having only first touched a mixer and decks in July 2000, he's already DJed internationally and performed alongside a whole host of world-class DJs including - Sven Vath (Cocoon), David Alvarado (Yoshitoshi), Craig Burger Queen (Defected, Distinct’ive), DJ Emily (Yoshitoshi, Plastic City), The Real Richard Grey (Eukahouse), Aubrey (Solid Groove, Textures), Mark Ambrose (Crayon), Dave Mothersole (Swag), Hideo Kobayashi (ING, Pamplemousse), Harri & Dom (Sub Club), Robin Burrowes (Microsoft), Tom Parris (Indecks) and Fredness (Red Melon) just to name a few.

Ben is a DJ who is highly rated by all those who have heard his blinding tuff tribal-tech-house sets. His energy also infects his music through and through, and his 3-hour plus sets are always an exciting ride from beginning to end.

Cutting his teeth at the now legendary Orange Penang, Ben held an unshakeable 18-month residency there, which only ended when he needed to free up more time to travel and work on his music. With his help, Orange Penang turned from a deadbeat no-go zone, to the single most-focused club on the island with an incredible reputation that is known from Tokyo to LA.

Ben also started the infamous club nights Basement Beats (Fridays) and Subterrain (Saturdays) at Orange that brought glitz, glamour plus some of the world's best house and techno DJs to the sunny island of Penang.

By popular demand, Ben returns bi-weekly (or whenever his schedule permits) to perform deck duties in front of his crowd of loyal supporters who have heard his sound evolve and mature into what it is today.

Having played at the best clubs in Malaysia, Hong Kong and Shanghai already, Ben has a lot more travelling on his books and is looking forward to bringing his tribal-tech-house sound to good clubs all over the world. With his new Funkshoppe club night in London with partner Robin Burrowes, you can expect him to make regular appearances there also!
